MAURICE ARBEZ January 15, 1943 - May 8, 2005 Peacefully, on May 8, 2005, surrounded by his loving family, Maurice Arbez passed away after a courageous six month battle with cancer. Maurice will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife of 35 years Tina; his two sons, Michael (Tara), and Robert (Amy); and his grandchildren, Daneal, Caileigh and Abbe. Also, his brothers, Roland (Shirley), Denis (Gisele), Gilles (Marcy), Marcel (Patsy) and his sister Simone Lemoine (Fern). All his in-laws will sadly miss him. He was predeceased by his parents, Gaston and Caroline and his brother Emile. Before enjoying his retirement he worked as an accountant at C.I.P. (17 years), Purvis Navcon (6 years), and Manitoba Health (13 years). He was a strong quiet man who loved spending time with his family and many friends. Our gentle giant loved the outdoors. You could see how proud he was of the home he created for his family. Many happy memories are of the road trips he took with his family. Our loss is heaven's gain. Thank you to the Selkirk Home Care and Palliative Care workers. Family and friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Maurice's life on Thursday, May 12. Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Selkirk with viewing one hour prior. We are glad you are finally out of pain. So now go in peace. We love and miss you and will see you again. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
